Who is it suitable for?
Considered for people describing a tired look, fine lines and dryness under the eye. Where the darkness is vascular, where there is a hollow, or where there is an under-eye bag, this treatment does little — the cause is separated before any decision is made.
How does it work?
The skin under the eye is the thinnest on the body and responds quickly to water loss. The treatment delivers hydrating ingredients directly into this area with the aim of supporting its texture. It is not a filler and adds no volume.
How is it performed?
The area is cleansed and a topical anaesthetic is applied. Superficial micro-injections are made under the eye with very fine needles. Because the area is thin, both the amount and the depth are kept deliberately conservative.
What to watch for afterwards
No eye make-up on the first day and no rubbing the area. Small bumps and occasionally bruising can occur; bruising is more visible here than elsewhere and can last a few days. Keeping the head slightly raised that night reduces swelling.
This treatment is not for everyone
Who should not have it?
Not performed during pregnancy or breastfeeding, where there is active infection or an eczema flare around the eye, with a known allergy to the components, or in a bleeding disorder. Blood thinners increase the risk of bruising and should be mentioned beforehand.
Frequently asked
About this treatment
Will it clear my under-eye darkness?
That depends on the cause. Where the darkness comes from thin, dry skin, this treatment can contribute. Where it is vascular, where the shadow comes from a hollow, or where it is pigmentary, the effect is limited. That distinction is made at examination.
How does it differ from under-eye filler?
Filler adds volume to a hollow under the eye. Mesotherapy adds no volume; it targets the skin's hydration and tissue quality. For someone whose complaint is a hollow, mesotherapy is not the right answer.
When do results show?
The effect is gradual and is judged across a series. In this area the change is usually described not as dramatic but as the skin looking more rested.
Is the risk of bruising higher here?
Bruising is both more frequent and more visible here than elsewhere, because the skin is very thin and the area is well supplied with vessels. If you take blood-thinning medication or supplements, it matters that you say so beforehand.
How long does the effect last?
It is not permanent. The skin around the eye wears quickly, so this is thought of as part of a care plan rather than a one-off procedure.
I have under-eye bags — will this help?
A bag is a structural finding, caused by the fat pad pushing forward, and a treatment aimed at the skin will not correct it. Mesotherapy will not deliver what is expected in that picture; suitable options are assessed separately.
What should I do before the appointment?
Medicines and supplements that thin the blood — aspirin, ibuprofen-type painkillers, vitamin E, omega-3 — make bruising more likely. Tell us before your appointment if you take any; whether and when to pause them is your doctor's decision. Never stop a prescribed medicine on your own. If you have a history of cold sores, say so: an injection can trigger one.
Does it hurt? Is anaesthetic used?
Very fine needles are used, and a topical anaesthetic cream is applied beforehand where it helps. Most people describe a mild sting. Pain thresholds differ, so if you are uncomfortable during the procedure just say so — it can be paused and more can be done.
Can it be done during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
Aesthetic injections are not advised during pregnancy or breastfeeding. There is not enough safety data for these periods, so they are avoided. Tell us beforehand if you are or might be pregnant, or are breastfeeding.
Who performs the treatment?
The assessment, the planning and the injection are all carried out by Dr. Burak Gümüşçü. What will be done, why, and what the alternatives are is explained before anything begins.
Which products are used?
Only licensed, single-use, sterile products. If you would like to know the name and contents of the product being used, that is shared at the consultation, and the packaging is opened in front of you.
Why is there no price on the site?
Türkiye's health advertising rules prohibit clinics from publishing prices or promotional offers. Beyond that, the amount used and the number of sessions vary from person to person, so a single figure would be misleading. Your own figure is given directly after the consultation.
Can another treatment be done in the same session?
Some treatments can be planned together in one session; others need to be spaced apart. That is decided after the face is assessed as a whole — the aim is to get the order right, not to add procedures.
