Hands

Hand Mesotherapy

Micro-injections intended to support skin quality and hydration on the back of the hands.

Who is it suitable for?

Considered for people who say their hands look older than their face, and who are bothered by thinning skin, dryness and prominent veins on the back of the hand. Age spots on the hands are a separate matter and are assessed separately.

How does it work?

The skin on the back of the hand is among the most sun-exposed and least cared-for on the body. The treatment delivers hydrating ingredients into its dermis with the aim of supporting texture and elasticity.

How is it performed?

The back of the hand is cleansed and a topical anaesthetic is applied if needed. Superficial micro-injections are made with fine needles. Entry points are chosen carefully because of the vessels running through the area.

What to watch for afterwards

Beyond washing, the area is not rubbed on the first day, and hand cream resumes the next day. Redness, mild swelling and bruising can occur; hands bruise more readily than the face. Sunscreen is what protects the result.

This treatment is not for everyone

Who should not have it?

Not performed during pregnancy or breastfeeding, where there is active infection, an eczema flare or an open wound on the hand, with a known allergy to the components, or in a bleeding disorder.

Frequently asked

About this treatment

Will the veins on the back of my hand become less visible?

Prominent veins are mostly a consequence of the fat layer on the back of the hand thinning. Mesotherapy is not a volumising treatment, so it does not directly change that appearance; what it targets is the quality of the skin itself.

Will it help the age spots on my hands?

Pigmentation is a separate matter and is assessed separately. This treatment targets hydration and tissue quality; sun-related spots on the back of the hand need a different plan.

When do results show?

A change in dryness and roughness is described relatively early. The effect is gradual and is judged across a series.

How long does the effect last?

It is not permanent. The back of the hand is among the most sun-exposed areas of the body, so how long the effect holds also depends on whether sun protection is kept up.

Will I bruise?

Hands bruise more readily than the face. Redness, mild swelling and bruising can appear at the injection points and fade through a change of colour. If you take blood thinners, it matters that you say so beforehand.

Can I use my hands normally afterwards?

There is no restriction on everyday use, but it is advised not to rub the area on the first day and to leave hand cream until the next. Heavy or irritating cleaning tasks are postponed briefly.

What should I do before the appointment?

Medicines and supplements that thin the blood — aspirin, ibuprofen-type painkillers, vitamin E, omega-3 — make bruising more likely. Tell us before your appointment if you take any; whether and when to pause them is your doctor's decision. Never stop a prescribed medicine on your own. If you have a history of cold sores, say so: an injection can trigger one.

Does it hurt? Is anaesthetic used?

Very fine needles are used, and a topical anaesthetic cream is applied beforehand where it helps. Most people describe a mild sting. Pain thresholds differ, so if you are uncomfortable during the procedure just say so — it can be paused and more can be done.

Can it be done during pregnancy or breastfeeding?

Aesthetic injections are not advised during pregnancy or breastfeeding. There is not enough safety data for these periods, so they are avoided. Tell us beforehand if you are or might be pregnant, or are breastfeeding.

Who performs the treatment?

The assessment, the planning and the injection are all carried out by Dr. Burak Gümüşçü. What will be done, why, and what the alternatives are is explained before anything begins.

Which products are used?

Only licensed, single-use, sterile products. If you would like to know the name and contents of the product being used, that is shared at the consultation, and the packaging is opened in front of you.

Why is there no price on the site?

Türkiye's health advertising rules prohibit clinics from publishing prices or promotional offers. Beyond that, the amount used and the number of sessions vary from person to person, so a single figure would be misleading. Your own figure is given directly after the consultation.

Can another treatment be done in the same session?

Some treatments can be planned together in one session; others need to be spaced apart. That is decided after the face is assessed as a whole — the aim is to get the order right, not to add procedures.
