Cheekbones & Mid-face

Mid-face Filler

About Mid-face filler: supports the volume lost with age across the cheekbones and mid-face.

Sessions
Single session
Duration
About 30 minutes
Recovery
Mild swelling can last a few days

Who is it suitable for?

Considered for people describing flattening of the mid-face, loss of cheekbone definition and the tired expression that follows.

How does it work?

With age, the fat pads of the mid-face lose volume and shift downward, creating a shadow running from the under-eye into the cheek and a tired expression. Hyaluronic acid filler aims to support the lost volume and rebalance the upper structure of the face.

How is it performed?

Applied to deep tissue in anatomically safe planes, mostly using a cannula. This area demands care with respect to blood vessels; planning and technique matter. This type of treatment is planned according to a prior medical assessment.

What to watch for afterwards

Avoid pressure on the area, saunas and heavy exercise in the first few days.

This treatment is not for everyone

Who should not have it?

Not performed during pregnancy or breastfeeding, where there is active infection in the area, or in people with a history of allergy to hyaluronic acid.

Frequently asked

About this treatment

Will my face look puffy?

The aim is not to add volume but to restore support that has been lost. Placed in the right plane and at the right point, the face reads as rested rather than full. The amount is decided by assessing the face as a whole.

How long does it last?

Hyaluronic acid fillers are absorbed over time. Placement in deeper planes and on bone is known to last longer than superficial placement. The exact duration varies with the person and the product.

Can it be reversed?

Hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved with hyaluronidase, so the result is reversible.

Why is it placed on the cheekbone rather than the cheek?

Mid-face laxity often originates in lost support at the cheekbone. Where sagging appears and where its cause sits can be different places, so treatment is directed at the cause rather than at the line itself.

How long does swelling last?

Swelling and occasionally bruising can occur in the first days and usually settle quickly. The final result should be judged after the swelling resolves.

What should I avoid afterwards?

For the first days, avoid pressure on the area, sleeping face down, saunas and intense exercise.

What should I do before the appointment?

Medicines and supplements that thin the blood — aspirin, ibuprofen-type painkillers, vitamin E, omega-3 — make bruising more likely. Tell us before your appointment if you take any; whether and when to pause them is your doctor's decision. Never stop a prescribed medicine on your own. If you have a history of cold sores, say so: an injection can trigger one.

Does it hurt? Is anaesthetic used?

Very fine needles are used, and a topical anaesthetic cream is applied beforehand where it helps. Most people describe a mild sting. Pain thresholds differ, so if you are uncomfortable during the procedure just say so — it can be paused and more can be done.

Can it be done during pregnancy or breastfeeding?

Aesthetic injections are not advised during pregnancy or breastfeeding. There is not enough safety data for these periods, so they are avoided. Tell us beforehand if you are or might be pregnant, or are breastfeeding.

Which products are used?

Only licensed, single-use, sterile products. If you would like to know the name and contents of the product being used, that is shared at the consultation, and the packaging is opened in front of you.

Why is there no price on the site?

Türkiye's health advertising rules prohibit clinics from publishing prices or promotional offers. Beyond that, the amount used and the number of sessions vary from person to person, so a single figure would be misleading. Your own figure is given directly after the consultation.

Can another treatment be done in the same session?

Some treatments can be planned together in one session; others need to be spaced apart. That is decided after the face is assessed as a whole — the aim is to get the order right, not to add procedures.
