Who is it suitable for?
Considered for people noticing thinning, diffuse shedding or weakened follicles, where the follicles have not been lost entirely. The cause of the loss is investigated first: if there is iron deficiency, a thyroid problem or a hormonal picture behind it, that is addressed first.
How does it work?
A blend of vitamins, minerals, amino acids and trace elements is delivered into the scalp with very fine needles, at the depth where the follicle is nourished. The aim is to bring what the follicle needs directly to the area rather than waiting on the bloodstream, and to support scalp microcirculation.
How is it performed?
The scalp is assessed beforehand. During the session, many superficial micro-injections are made across the area. The needles are very fine and most people do not find the procedure distressing. The number and spacing of sessions is planned around your presentation. The treatment is carried out at the clinic in Yeşilköy (Bakırköy, İstanbul) after an in-person assessment.
What to watch for afterwards
Do not wash your hair on the day of the procedure, and avoid pools, saunas and heavy sweating that day. Mild tenderness and redness of the scalp for a few hours is normal.
This treatment is not for everyone
Who should not have it?
Not performed during pregnancy or breastfeeding, where there is active infection or a wound in the treatment area, or in people with a bleeding disorder or a history of allergy to the ingredients used.
Frequently asked
About this treatment
When do results start to show?
The hair cycle is slow, so nothing changes overnight. What is usually noticed first is that shedding slows; thickening and new growth are assessed over months. How long this takes depends on the cause of the loss and how long it has been going on.
Is the effect permanent, or is it repeated?
Mesotherapy supports the follicle; it does not remove the cause of the loss. A course of sessions is usually followed by spaced maintenance. If an underlying cause — iron deficiency, thyroid, a hormonal picture — is still present, this treatment alone will not be enough.
When can I wash my hair afterwards?
Usually the following day. On the first day, avoid rubbing the scalp, hot water, saunas and pools. Follow any specific instruction you are given.
What side effects are possible?
Most commonly mild redness and tenderness at the injection points, and occasionally small bruises, all short-lived. Lasting side effects are not expected. If pain increases, or you see widespread redness or discharge, contact the clinic.
How is it different from PRP?
Mesotherapy delivers a prepared mix of vitamins, minerals, amino acids and trace elements into the scalp. PRP uses platelet-rich plasma separated from your own blood. Which one suits you depends on the type and cause of the loss; sometimes they are planned together.
I have had a hair transplant — can I still have this?
Whether it can be applied after a transplant depends on how long ago it was and the condition of the scalp. We also need to know the follow-up plan the transplant centre gave you, so this is not decided without an assessment.
What should I do before the appointment?
Medicines and supplements that thin the blood — aspirin, ibuprofen-type painkillers, vitamin E, omega-3 — make bruising more likely. Tell us before your appointment if you take any; whether and when to pause them is your doctor's decision. Never stop a prescribed medicine on your own. If you have a history of cold sores, say so: an injection can trigger one.
Does it hurt? Is anaesthetic used?
Very fine needles are used, and a topical anaesthetic cream is applied beforehand where it helps. Most people describe a mild sting. Pain thresholds differ, so if you are uncomfortable during the procedure just say so — it can be paused and more can be done.
Can it be done during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
Aesthetic injections are not advised during pregnancy or breastfeeding. There is not enough safety data for these periods, so they are avoided. Tell us beforehand if you are or might be pregnant, or are breastfeeding.
Which products are used?
Only licensed, single-use, sterile products. If you would like to know the name and contents of the product being used, that is shared at the consultation, and the packaging is opened in front of you.
Why is there no price on the site?
Türkiye's health advertising rules prohibit clinics from publishing prices or promotional offers. Beyond that, the amount used and the number of sessions vary from person to person, so a single figure would be misleading. Your own figure is given directly after the consultation.
Can another treatment be done in the same session?
Some treatments can be planned together in one session; others need to be spaced apart. That is decided after the face is assessed as a whole — the aim is to get the order right, not to add procedures.
