HarmonyCa side effects
Common temporary effects, less frequent complications and warning signs.
The short answer
Temporary swelling, redness, tenderness and bruising may occur at injection sites after HarmonyCa treatment. Less common problems include nodules, infection, asymmetry or prolonged inflammation. As with all dermal fillers, accidental injection into a blood vessel is a rare but serious risk.
Increasing or unusually severe pain, skin blanching or discolouration, changes in vision or neurological symptoms require immediate contact with the treating doctor and emergency medical services.
Risk varies between individuals
The product, treatment area, injection plane, medical history and previous procedures all affect risk. Treatment may be postponed if active infection or inflammation is present. The product's composition and options for managing or reversing its effects should be discussed before treatment.
Safety afterwards
Follow your doctor's individual aftercare advice. Do not delay a review if expected temporary effects worsen rather than improve, or if marked warmth, discharge, firmness or skin colour changes develop.
